We have grown French Gold in Northern Virginia and they have been very prolific. We reserve a 4' section in the pole bean row. Some may curl, but morst will be straight. The beans are tender and have a slightly nutty flavor. They are thinner than the Monte Gusto yellow pole bean, which are also very good. Keep them picked. If they by you -- don't quite on them -- remove the older beans to promote new blossoms.

Okay, I've tried growing probably 8 tomato different varieties in our NYC community garden and this is probably the most delicious. Great balance of sweet and umami/savory- not quite as concentrated as sun sugars but much larger and very tasty. Smaller than black prince but more reliable and abundant like cherry/pear, with the rich taste of larger tomatoes. Previous favorite in my lab taste test was cherokee purple, but bronze torch unseated CP this year (barely). Will still grow cherokee but with plenty of bronze torch because I easily get 10x net volume and more frequent, so I can share more that others can enjoy.

My sunflowers grew to be 10ft with 8 to 10inch flowers. Enormous and awesome to look at!
